For ten unforgettable days this July, Knysna comes alive with the Oyster Festival, a beloved event blending outdoor adventure, culinary delights, and festive community spirit.

- Knysna Forest Marathon & Half Marathon (July 4–5): A scenic run through ancient forest trails, complete with expo stalls and market treats for early arrivals.
- Knysna Marathon Club Fun Run (5 km on July 5): A local favourite, ideal for families and casual runners.
- Houtkapper Trail Run (July 6): Races of 9 km, 15 km, or 27 km take runners through Krisjan-se-nek and past Knysna’s ancient yellowwood tree, the Daleen Matthee Big Tree.

- Fine Wine Festival at Simola Golf Estate (July 4–5): Sample award-winning wines with panoramic forest views.

- Shucking competitions: Watch the excitement as professionals race to open oysters at impressive speeds.

- Rock Pool Tours at The Heads (8, 10 July): Guided explorations of Knysna’s tidal pools and coastal marine life.
- Gerard Supra Variety Show (6 July 2025): Internationally acclaimed aerial acrobats Samantha Kotze & Chivonne Naude, and the famous live band Misery Loves Company.
- Kids Arts & Crafts (4 – 13 July): Daily arts and crafts for children of all ages.
- Art and creative workshops: Hands-on sessions for all ages, from painting to craft-making, hosted by local creatives.
