For your convenience, we have put together a list of the questions most frequently asked by our guests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Check-in time?<\/strong><br \/>\nCheck-in time is 2 pm at the earliest, and we endeavour to ensure that your room is serviced and prepared for you to occupy from 2 pm on the day of your arrival. However, if you arrive earlier you are welcome to park and enjoy the beach facilities or take a stroll up to East Head Caf\u00e9 and the famous Knysna Heads. If you are intending to check in after 7 pm, please inform us when booking or call us on 044 384 0745.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Check-out time?<\/strong><br \/>\nCheck-out time is 10 am. Should you wish to leave before 7:30 am,<br \/>\nplease settle your account the day before.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Is Reception open 24 hours?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, it isn\u2019t. Our Reception desk is open from Monday to Sunday, 7:30 am to 7:30 pm in winter, and until 8 pm in the summer season. The number to dial for assistance is 211.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Internet connection?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, there is wireless internet available throughout the property.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Which is the nearest airport?<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.airports.co.za\/airports\/george-airport\/the-airport\/about-george\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">George Airport<\/a> is 70km away and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flycemair.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Plettenberg Bay Airport<\/a> is 33,5km away.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Do you offer airport transfers?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, this service is available on request. Please enquire at Reception: +27 (0)44 384 0745.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Can I rent a car nearby?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, you can. Directions from George\/Cape Town?<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Drive through Knysna on the N2 (Main Road)<br \/>\n\u2022 Pass Knysna Provincial Hospital on the left-hand side and \u2018Kwikspar\u2019 and Caltex<br \/>\nGarage on the right-hand side<br \/>\n\u2022 Turn immediately right into George Rex Drive, which leads to The Heads<br \/>\n\u2022 Follow George Rex Drive for approximately 4.6 kilometres until you arrive at a traffic<br \/>\ncircle<br \/>\n\u2022 Look for Under Milkwood reception at the lower end of the traffic circle<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Directions from Port Elizabeth\/Plettenberg Bay?<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Approaching Knysna on the N2, turn left into George Rex Drive, which leads to The<br \/>\nHeads<br \/>\n\u2022 Follow George Rex Drive for approximately 4.6 kilometres until you arrive at a traffic<br \/>\ncircle<br \/>\n\u2022 Look for Under Milkwood reception at the lower end of the traffic circle<\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Are there car parking spaces or a car park?<\/strong><br \/>\nThere is ONE parking bay available per chalet. As parking is tight, we do ask that you park considerately. All extra vehicles and visitors\u2019 vehicles should be parked in the municipal parking area at the traffic circle across the road from Reception.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11. Is the resort in the centre of Knysna?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, we are 6,6km from the centre of town. It is a 12-minute drive by car.<\/p>\n<p><b>12. Do you offer breakfast?<\/b><br \/>\nNo, we do not offer any meals. All our properties are entirely self-catering. However, the East Head Caf\u00e9 is 200 metres from our resort. This restaurant offers delicious breakfast and lunch, and a magnificent view of the Knysna Heads and river mouth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>13. Do you have a Grocery-Provisioning Option?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, you are welcome to pre-order groceries at Woolworths or Pick n Pay before arrival, and we will happily arrange for the delivery to be placed in your chalet or villa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>14. Does the resort have a bar?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, we don\u2019t have a bar. The nearest bar (at Blend Country Restaurant) is 1,9 km away.<\/p>\n<p><strong>15. How far is the nearest grocery store?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe East End Kwikspar is 4,8 km from here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>16. How far is the nearest bottle store?<\/strong><br \/>\nTops at East End is 4,8 km from here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>17. Do you have smoking and non-smoking rooms?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, all our rooms are non-smoking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>18. Do you have rooms that have services for those with disabilities?<\/strong><br \/>\nCurrently, these rooms are unfortunately not available.<\/p>\n<p><strong>19. Do the bathrooms have baths or showers?<\/strong><br \/>\nMost of our properties have a bath and a shower.<\/p>\n<p><strong>20. Do you provide bed linen and towels?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, we provide linen and bath towels. If you are staying in a chalet, please bring your own beach towels. In the villas, these are provided.<\/p>\n<p><strong>21. Are pets allowed to stay at the hotel?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, regrettably none of our properties are pet-friendly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>22. How far in advance do I have to book?<\/strong><br \/>\nAs soon as you have planned your trip! Out of season, we sometimes have last-minute availability, but in general, you should book early to avoid any disappointment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>23. Is the online booking procedure secure?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, all bookings made on our site are secure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>24. Are the prices quoted per room or per person?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe prices quoted are per chalet or per villa. There is an additional charge per person for extra guests in the chalets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>25. When do I need to pay for accommodation?<\/strong><br \/>\nA 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking, and the balance is to be paid on arrival.<\/p>\n<p><strong>26. Can I pay by credit card?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, we are pleased to accept payment by Mastercard, Visa, and Diners Club. We apologise, but we do not accept cheque payments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>27. Will I get the room on the photograph, and do the rooms correspond to those in the photographs?<\/strong><br \/>\nWe cannot guarantee that you will get the exact same room, but the room types are the same.<\/p>\n<p><strong>28. Are children welcome?<\/strong><br \/>\nChildren of all ages are welcome at Under Milkwood, Paquita and Number Eleven. Children over 12 years old are welcome at Milkwood Bay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>29. Do children stay for free?<\/strong><br \/>\nChildren under 3 years old stay free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>30. Is it possible to have a cot in the room?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, cots are available on request.<\/p>\n<p><strong>31. What is the extra charge for umbrellas and beach chairs?<\/strong><br \/>\nThere is no charge. These are available for free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>32. Do we need to bring our own firewood?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, we provide complimentary firewood.<\/p>\n<p><strong>33. Is there an additional charge for use of the kayaks and SUPs?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, the use of this equipment is free of charge as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>34. Do you cater for special arrangements?<\/strong><br \/>\nAbsolutely! From birthdays to anniversaries or honeymoon celebrations, please ask Reception staff to assist you with any special arrangements that you wish to make for your occasion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>35. Do all the chalets have views of the lagoon?<\/strong><br \/>\nOur waterfront chalets have expansive views of the lagoon. Our middle chalets do not have views of the lagoon and our hillside chalets have partial views of the lagoon.<\/p>\n<p>Do you have a question, we have not answered?
