Here are 5 of our favourites.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-68\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milkwood.co.za\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Wild-Oats-Farmers-Market-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"493\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wild Oats Farmer&#8217;s Market<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This internationally famous and multiple award-winning farmers&#8217; market is located on the outskirts of Sedgefield, next to the beautiful Swartvlei lake. The small, rustic market attracts both locals and tourists who consistently return for more of its festive fare.<\/p>\n<p>Come rain or shine, the market takes place every Saturday morning throughout the year. Locally-produced offerings include free-range meats, chicken, lamb, dairy and cheese, as well as fresh-from-the-field veg, and freshly baked goods. The market is famous for its wide variety of fresh-off-the-coals breakfasts and many plants and flowers of the unique Southern Cape Floral Kingdom are available too.<\/p>\n<p>Market hours: Every Saturday from 7h30 \u2013 12h00 (summer) and 8h00 \u2013 12h00 (winter)<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildoatsmarket.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WEBSITE<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milkwood.co.za\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Scarab-Village.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"746\" height=\"525\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Scarab Village<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scarab Village is Sedgefield\u2019s one-stop arts and craft market. The market offers original art, handmade clothing, metalwork, wooden products, hand spun wool, ceramics and much more. The majority of the stall holders have crafted their own products, which makes it entirely unique and original.<\/p>\n<p>The market is a fun outing for the whole family. The country market feeling prevails with many locals combining their shopping with a friendly chat. There is live music, a playground for the kids and plenty of seating for Granny. You can also enjoy a visit to the Sedgefield Craft Beer brewery.<\/p>\n<p>Adequate parking is available and the Scarab Market is pet-friendly.<\/p>\n<p>Market hours: Every Saturday from 8h00 to 13h00<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/scarabvillage.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WEBSITE<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71\" src=\"https:\/\/www.milkwood.co.za\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Friday-Market-Image.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"746\" height=\"525\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Friday Market<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This established Supper and Craft Market, at the Knysna Montessori School, has a good vibe, where you can enjoy good food and music with friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>The market takes place every Friday from the end of September through to the end of May and attracts local, national and international visitors. Enjoy being entertained by a local musician, while savouring delicious wares from a variety of food stalls and a licensed bar. In the winter you can warm yourself by the bonfires.<\/p>\n<p>Children can play on the jungle gym, try their hand at the games stall or just run around and look at the free-roaming bunnies. There is plenty of space for them (the kids) to run freely.
